13th Circuit Court Judges
Welcome to the 13th Judicial Circuit Court Website
On behalf of the Judges and staff of the Circuit Court of Antrim, Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties, welcome to our website.
The 13th Judicial Circuit has three locations. The Circuit Court is a state trial court where issues involving rights and responsibilities of individuals and Michigan laws are tried. Our Judges hear civil lawsuits involving the awarding of money (matters over $25,000) and enforcement of rights between individuals. The Judges also try criminal cases where the state charges as felonies when laws have been broken and punishment should be imposed.
The Circuit Court also handles family matters including divorce. In addition, the Circuit Court hears cases appealed from the District Court.
This Court has two Circuit Court Judges - Hon. Philip E. Rodgers, Jr., and Hon. Thomas G. Power. The mission of the Circuit Court is to protect rights and liberties, uphold and interpret the law and provide for the peaceful resolution of disputes.
Courthouse hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please take note of the services offered within the website and the various links for information and services available.
